Downloaded and installed, can I fuck tell what's different in this version.

"Ach nein die Blut und Ehre auf mein Waffen SS bayonette ist shisse!" (can I fuck speak German) or something caused this patch from some Nazi polishing his war collection every fucking night for the past 6 months. There is still only one sever and I still recognise most the names on there, well the Axis side anyhow.

Why the fuck did they put a password on publicly available files? Arseholes are just adding another barrier to entry... fuck them.

Eh? That's to prevent the mod dying on release day. PR does it now as well so that servers remain up on release or in the case of FH2 that Klaus doesn't take his K98 down the Synagogue.

It's easily available on the site...

Yeh i found the password, just had trouble using it on the Mac, why would a password prevent it from dying on release day? im failing to see the logic here.

Make the file available prior to release day to allow people to download it as the torrents are traditionally poor on the day itself. It gives it more of a chance to seed prior to release without there being two versions and reduced numbers. If everyone had to download it on release day there'd be two versions of clients / severs with masses of downtime, when you only have 60 people playing it it would disrupt things of days to come. You then don't bother replacing the file afterwards with a new torrent because the player base is too small and the passworded version will be readily available anyhow.
